Anyway, I was having a peruse through Made in the Shades Flicker and noticed that I had been name dropped not once, but twice! Here are little snippets I pinched, to see the full article head over here. You may have to squint to see it but I'm there, exciting!

name drop
Wow-wee, it's been a while since I was last here! And times they are a-changing. It's the Easter holidays and in between working and making I hope to become a little more organised and start posting regularly.

oh deer
I made this large stag a couple of weeks ago but never got round to posting it here! He's been shipped off to join other crafty things at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre to be part of the UK Craft Mafias exhibition in a couple of weeks, so if you happen to be in the Manchester area around that time go have a peek!

Gigantic Owl
He's huge. Anyone who has seen the smaller owls in life will have a good idea of the proportion!
The funny thing is, when I was cutting out the fabric I thought "This isn't going to be as big as I want it" (haha). He is lovely though I if I do say so myself and I'm agonising over the decision to sell him or not. I'll take him along to the market in Mono on Sunday but mainly for show. I don't think anyone would re-home him.
I'm off to make smaller versions of him now!Saturday, 8 November 2008
Well, hello there Mr Fish
Well, hello there Mr Fish, you look mighty tastey!
And he was. We had him poached with some garlic and chilli butter :) He was less than 12 hours out the water, given to us by a fisherman friend that didn't want him. I thought the gutting and decapitation would make me spew a little but it never. The worst was the cleaning up afterwards. I felt a little bad because he was quite cute, kinda like watching "Babe" then tucking into a bacon sarnie.
